USC entered 3 teams in Redbull Snowwarz!
This past Saturday, March 14th, Redbull hosted an awesome college team slopestyle jam. The weekend kicked off with a Redbull hosted party at the Santa Monica HQ on Thursday night, followed by coach buses driving all night to get all the athletes up to Mammoth by Friday morning. Mammoth rebuilt all of South Park just for the competition, complete with a triple set of jumps and newly painted rails repping the Redbull logo. The format of the competition is a team slopestyle competition of 4-6 athletes per team from colleges all over the country. This year was their largest turn out with over 45 teams entered including teams from UCLA, ASU, UNR, TCC (Tahoe Community College). The competition was stiff with skiers and boarders all together. Teams were stacked with kids just starting out park all the way up to sponsored riders. Some teams entered to have a good time, and others battled it out throwing down lines of tricks rivaling those seen in the X-Games.
