Some team statistics:

  • USC Ski & Snowboard team competes within the Southern California Collegiate Snowsports Conference against all of the major schools in Southern California at Mammoth Mountain.
  • The SCCSC acts within the United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association – The USCSA offers the highest level of official collegiate freestyle competitions in the US, as well as Alpine racing events
  • The USC Ski & Snowboard team competes in skiing giant slalom, skiing slalom, snowboarding giant slalom, skier/boardercross, slopestyle, and halfpipe competitions
  • USC Freestyle Ski Team won the National Championship for overall freestyle skiing in Winter Park Colorado in 2009, and again in Sunday River Maine in 2010
  • USC Freestyle Ski Team members placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall at the 2010 National Championships
  • USC Freestyle Ski Team members placed 2nd and 3rd overall at the 2009 National Championships
  • USC Freestyle Ski Team members placed 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th at the Regional slopestyle competition in Diamond Peak, Tahoe in 2009
  • USC entered 3 teams in Redbull’s SnowWarz slopestyle competition in 2009 and 1 team made it to the finals
  • Our videos on our YouTube channel received over 245,000 views in between 2008 and 2010
  • In 2009 & 2010 we had videos featured on GoPro’s website, has shown up on a GoPro review on Gizmodo.com, videos posted with stories on The Ski Channel multiple times, and was posted on Mammoth’s Live Vibe blog – three times! First – Second – Third
  • In the Summer of 2009 team members filmed & edited promotional material exclusively for GoPro and their new HD products.  This video has been featured at tradeshows, and online press-releases.
  • The team is comprised of over 100 members that are actively involved in other groups on campus, sororities, and fraternities
